Create system and technical designs that hold up at scale, and reason through tradeoffs with your team before committing to an approach.

Partner with other engineering teams, product, marketing, and finance stakeholders to turn ambiguous requirements into clear technical plans.

Coach and review other engineers' work, helping raise the bar on code quality, design rigor, and delivery practices.

Define mechanisms to ensure best practices are applied in our development cycle.

Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences, including customers when needed, about progress and tradeoffs.

10+ years of professional engineering experience, with several years at the staff level and prior Team Lead experience

Hands-on experience building and scaling web systems, with strength in React, TypeScript, and Node, plus proficiency in Go and Python.

Experience designing and reasoning about scalable, reliable architectures at the Staff Engineer (IC6) level or equivalent

An instinct for what users need and the judgment to turn that into sound product decisions

Strong communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike

Nice to have: experience building with AI-assisted workflows and shipping AI-powered features, and iOS or Android development experience.
