Required
We’re hiring an Accounting Manager to own Stedi’s monthly close and day-to-day accounting operations as the business continues to scale. You will report directly to the Controller and be responsible for general ledger accuracy, timely financial reporting, and the accounting processes and controls that support them.
Stedi’s accounting function is already built around integrated systems, automation, and AI. A major part of this role is building on that foundation as the business and team grow. You will standardize and document workflows, establish clear responsibilities and review procedures, and strengthen controls so accounting processes remain reliable and repeatable as transaction volume and complexity increase.
We expect you to understand how transactions flow through our systems, from underlying data through final reporting. You will evaluate how our existing systems and workflows support the business, identify where they need to evolve, and use modern tools and AI to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of accounting operations.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting knowledge with sound judgment and a builder’s mindset. You can independently investigate accounting questions, document conclusions, and translate them into practical procedures. You take responsibility for understanding how work gets done, determining what needs to change, and driving improvements through implementation while maintaining a high bar for day-to-day execution.
You are highly technical and look for opportunities to automate workflows, work directly with underlying data, and use modern tools and AI to build financial systems that are faster, more reliable, and less dependent on manual processes.
You thrive in ambiguity, create structure from chaos, and can independently design scalable processes and systems from scratch.
You are relentless and resourceful. When something doesn’t reconcile, or an answer doesn’t make sense, you keep going until you understand why.
You move fast and operate with precision. You thrive in an environment where clarity, accountability, and urgency matter.
