Atwellgroup Physical Designer, Substations at Atwellgroup is responsible for drafting and modeling substation designs, producing physical substation packages, and selecting appropriate hardware. The role requires collaboration with engineering teams and maintaining quality deliverables on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Assist in detailed design of substation and conventional generation
Produce physical substation packages including general arrangements, elevations, bill of materials, conduit, grounding, lightning protection, and illumination
Select hardware for appropriate applications
Work effectively as part of a team or independently with oversight
Maintain high ethical and professional standards
Attend conferences, training workshops, seminars, and classes for professional advancement
Attend safety training and follow safety rules and guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Education: Associates degree in related field preferred
Experience: 1 – 4 years of drafting, design, engineering, or related experience
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office required
A strong command of the English language
Possesses effective written and oral communications skills
Good interpersonal and people skills
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Preferred

Proficiency with and/or knowledge of AutoCAD 3D modeling software a plus
Proficiency with Civil 3D would be a plus
Proficiency with MicroStation would be a plus
