Senior Software Engineer, Motion Controls

Required

• Experience in control system design with a solid foundation in control theory
• Experience building production-quality C++ code
• 5+ years of experience working on control systems for robots or vehicles in automotive, aerospace, robotics, or related fields.
• Desirable Qualifications
• Familiarity with design of fail-safe/fail-operational control systems
• Experience in verifying design of safety-critical and/or autonomous systems
• Experience analyzing/simulating nonlinear vehicle dynamics
• Knowledge of state estimation and signal processing techniques
• Masters or PhD in related field
• For roles based in Mountain View, CA: The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $262,000 per year.
• For roles based in Pittsburgh, PA: The salary range for this position is $146,000 - $234,000 per year.
• Aurora's pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
