Aquant Senior AI Engineer at Aquant builds AI solutions for real enterprise data and complex problems. The role includes owning knowledge pipelines, production AI agents, and measurable AI to improve service operations.
Responsibilities
Own a whole area such as knowledge pipelines, agents or evals end to end
Build knowledge pipelines turning manuals, tickets and work orders into trusted knowledge
Build multi-step production AI agents that use tools and APIs
Build automated evals, define success metrics, and catch regressions before production
Understand customer workflows and deliver automation solutions
Protect customer data and keep agent tool use safe
Share best practices and build tools and agents for team adoption
Drive solutions from design to production and improve them once live

Required
A hands-on developer with a steep growth curve. Ideally 5+ years of development experience, but what you can build matters more than how long you've been building.
AI-native in practice. AI is part of how you plan, build, test and review, and you know when its output isn't good enough.
Agents in production. You've built agents that call tools and APIs, and you know what it takes to keep them reliable, fast and affordable.
You measure AI quality. You've built evals, defined success metrics and used them to decide what ships.
Real problems, real results. You've turned a complex workflow into an AI-powered solution and can show measurable impact.
Solid backend engineering. Production services and pipelines in Python, TypeScript, Go, C#, Java or similar.
Ownership and clear communication. You take initiative, see things through to production, and explain AI behaviour clearly to product, CS and customers.
Preferred
RAG, data ingestion, retrieval and reranking
A security background: secure coding, OWASP (including the LLM Top 10), threat modelling
LLM data pipelines: labelling, classification or extraction at scale
Experience in DevOps, QA, data or support roles alongside development
Enterprise B2B experience, especially working directly with customers or customer-facing teams
