Astronicscorporation Master Scheduler manages the Master Production Schedule across multiple programs at Astronics-PECO, balancing customer demand with capacity and supply chain constraints. They develop production plans, conduct capacity planning, and collaborate with engineering and operations to ensure schedule feasibility.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the master production schedule and production plan for multiple programs/product groups, balancing customer demand with department capacity and supply chain constraints in alignment with the SIOP process.
Reviews and maintains forecasts from various stakeholders, including account management, engineering and Project management.
Lead rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP) to validate schedule feasibility against labor, equipment, and material constraints, escalating capacity requirements planning (CRP) needs as necessary. Works with planning and operations staff to alleviate potential capacity constraints where required.
Works with Engineering, Planning, and Operations to monitor production execution and assists in developing contingency plans for disruptions.
Works with planning staff to establish and maintain scheduling policies, planning horizons, time fences, and lot-sizing rules within the ERP/MRP system, ensuring data integrity and schedule accuracy.
Responsible for driving accurate demand related to integration of Engineering Change Management into the production schedule with minimal disruption to throughput and highlighting these changes to Planning & Production.

Required

Create and update standard work, guidelines, and work instructions for Master Scheduling processes.
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred. (ASCM and/or ISM certification preferred.)
5-7 years production experience as a Planner or Master scheduler, preferably in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Intermediate to advanced Excel and/or PowerBI for data analysis
Intermediate ability to read technical documents (prints, Work Instructions, Bills of Material)
Other abilities include oral & written communication, Production control concepts, Inventory control, and New Production Introduction (NPI). Lean concepts preferred
