Astronicscorporation Facilities Technician responsible for maintenance and upkeep of facilities including snow/ice removal and vendor coordination. Provides facility-related assistance to multiple departments and operates site equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform general repair and maintenance work including light painting, basic plumbing, general cleaning, and preventative maintenance
Respond to Help Desk requests from employees and assist front lobby as needed
Schedule and coordinate the work of outside vendors/contractors
Monitor performance of vendors and janitorial work daily
Perform escort duty of visitors as needed
Drive utility vehicle Bobcat, light duty box truck, and electric work assist vehicles
Ensure that facility buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and presentable
Perform HVAC adjustments via electronic management system software
Remove ice and snow from building sidewalks and parking lot
Operate site equipment including hand and power tools

Required

Education/Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Clean driving record required.
1-2 years' experience in facilities maintenance.
Ability to use standard powered and non-powered tools.
Must understand the operation and maintenance of plant facilities and equipment.
Ability to learn to attain basic Microsoft Office software skills. (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Physical Abilities:
Able to use hand and power tools such as drills, saws, cutters, pressure washer, pliers, paint rollers/brushes, air compressor, and screw drivers.
Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Able to work standing up and/or walking for extended periods of time.
Able to work with a computer and view a computer monitor for extended periods of time.
