What You Should Know About This Team
Every great experience starts with knowing who you’re talking to. XM Directory is where that knowledge lives.
When a customer, employee, or other stakeholder interacts with a company, XM Directory can capture it and remember it. Over time, those moments add up to living profiles that show what people like, what they need, and how every interaction makes them feel.
That experience context helps close the Experience Gap, the distance between what people expect and what companies deliver, and it lets AI, including our Experience Agents, act in the moments that matter. As Qualtrics builds its next-generation XM Data & AI Platform, you’ll work on the data layer it depends on.
Behind that is an engineering team solving big-data problems: storage systems built to hold stakeholder data at scale, and computation and serving layers that make it fast and useful the moment someone needs it. When AI is acting inside a live customer moment, that data has to be fresh, accurate, and fast to reach. We pick the right tool for each job from a broad toolkit of open source and industry-proven technologies, including Elasticsearch, AWS DynamoDB, AWS Kinesis, Redis, and more.
As a Software Engineer I on the XMD team, you’ll build on your skills in distributed systems, frontend development, and databases. You’ll learn from senior engineers, take on meaningful problems early, and help build the data foundation that AI-powered experiences depend on.
