Tribe AI Communications Lead responsible for shaping Tribe AI's external narrative and managing CEO's public presence. Runs media relations and builds the communications function from scratch.
Responsibilities
Own the narrative. Define how Tribe talks about itself and about enterprise AI, and keep that story sharp and consistent across press, partners and our own channels.
Prepare our CEO for the spotlight. Prepare and brief our CEO for interviews, panels and podcasts, and help shape bylines, LinkedIn posts and keynote talks.
Run media relations. Use your existing relationships with enterprise and AI tech journalists to get Tribe into the conversations that matter. Pitch stories, not funding announcements.
Support partner communications. Work with the Partnerships team to produce joint stories and announcements with the AI labs and platforms we build on.
Find the story in the work. Partner with our marketing team, GMs and delivery teams to pull credible, specific stories out of customer engagements, and turn technical work into narratives an enterprise buyer understands.
Build the function. Set up the processes, calendar, measurement and any agency or freelance support that comms needs as Tribe grows.

Required
7–12 years in communications, PR or journalism, with a focus on B2B, enterprise or AI tech.
Warm relationships with tech press: you know reporters and editors at outlets like The Information, TechCrunch, VentureBeat, Bloomberg, Forbes or WSJ Tech, and they take your calls. Cold pitching shouldn't be your main tool.
You've shaped external communications for a technical or AI company and can explain complex technical work clearly and credibly.
You've worked directly with founders or C-suite executives on their personal visibility and thought leadership.
A strong written voice: clear, credible and distinct. You can write as someone else and sound like them.
Confidence and presence. You're comfortable in the room with executives, journalists and partners, and you have opinions.
You like to build. You've thrived in an early-stage or small team without much structure.
Preferred
You've been a journalist (reporter or editor) covering enterprise tech or AI and now want to work in-house.
You've built a communications function from scratch.
You've worked in AI, SaaS or professional services and understand the language and concerns of enterprise buyers.
You've done partner or co-marketing comms with large platform companies.
