Spacex Power Systems Engineer responsible for leading engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of power-specific infrastructure projects at SpaceX Bastrop site. Coordinates with multiple stakeholders to ensure reliable power service to critical site infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Lead the project team, consulting engineers and contractors throughout the entirety of the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning process for power-specific scope items
Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial type projects
Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors across multiple disciplines through contract close-out
Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field in real-time
Coordinate with electrical utility provider for design/engineering to ensure reliable power service to critical site infrastructure
Interact with engineers, contractors, vendors, fabricators, and project stakeholders

Qualification

Travel up to 25%ITAR REQUIREMENTS

Required

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or electrical engineering technology
3+ years of professional experience with the design or build of commercial or industrial power systems

Preferred

Primary experience with electrical and power distribution systems ( ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Perform hands-on work in all environments (heat, cold, rain), in tight quarters or at heights
This role requires you to be onsite - hybrid or remote work will not be considered
Must be able to work extended hours and weekends as needed
Remain focused while working in hazardous environments, while wearing appropriate PPE
Must be able to lift up to 25lbs unassisted
Travel up to 25%
