Director of Accounting

Required

• 6 or more years of experience in accounting, including at least 2 years of experience at a high-growth startup
• Background in audit or accounting strongly preferred
• Deep understanding of GAAP accounting and audit compliance
• Strong hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly close, financial reporting, and systems management
• Highly detail-oriented, process-driven, and able to operate independently in a fast-paced environment
• Experience building and leading an accounting team over time
• This is an on-site role based in either our NYC or San Francisco office. It is designed for builders who thrive on speed, iteration, and meaningful impact.
• For this role, the expected base salary range is $230,000 to $270,000. Profound's total compensation package is designed to be competitive and includes base salary, equity, and a full range of benefits and perks.
