Bbyo IT & People Operations Support Specialist at BBYO responsible for managing staff technology support and vendor relationships, as well as overseeing onboarding and off-boarding processes. The role also includes managing the DC Hub office and supporting people operations.

Responsibilities

Work directly with teens (grades 8-12) to create impactful, fun, and dynamic programming.
Coach teens on recruitment and retention strategies that build and grow their chapters to exceed membership and engagement goals.
Support teens in building and executing chapter calendars, ensuring a consistent and sustainable programming cadence.
Be present at chapter events and meetings, providing guidance, supervision, and mentorship as the adult in the room
Ensure chapter participation in region-wide initiatives (e.g. Kickoffs, RLTI, and convention)
Ensure chapter participation in organization-wide initiatives (e.g., BBYO Summer Programs, ILN, and IC)
Track and analyze chapter data, including attendance, engagement, and membership trends, to inform strategy
Build relationships and maintain communication with members, parents, and community partners
Participate as a member of the regional team to bring innovative ideas and best practices to the community.
Participate in monthly professional development with fellow Chapter Specialists

Required

4 or more years in IT support or IT operations, including time owning systems rather than only responding to requests.
Hands-on administration of Microsoft 365, including Entra and Exchange, across Windows and macOS.
Experience managing a helpdesk or ticketing system as the owner, not just a user.
Experience working with an outside IT vendor or managed service provider, including holding them to scope.
Working knowledge of security practices: MFA, phishing, account compromise, and device compliance.
Comfort with contracts, renewals, invoices, and budget tracking.
Discretion with confidential personnel information and sensitive youth safety records, and sound judgment with privileged administrative access.
Strong organization and follow-through. A lot of this job is noticing that something is due before it’s late.
Clear communication with non-technical staff and a service mindset.
Scripting or automation experience, particularly PowerShell.
Salesforce or Airtable administration.
Nonprofit experience, or experience supporting a distributed and seasonal staff.
