BlankStreet The Shift Lead at BlankStreet leads the cafe team by example, ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional hospitality in a fast-paced environment. This role includes training new employees, managing store opening and closing, and supporting initiatives to increase sales and customer traffic.

Responsibilities

Craft beautiful coffee and matcha products
Provide exceptional hospitality to Blank Street customers
Support GM and help train new employees to succeed
Ensure new team members follow all recipes and operational processes
Open and close the store safely and responsibly following checklists
Handle and solve customer issues
Lead and support initiatives to increase foot traffic, new customers, daily sales, and operational profitability

Qualification

Required

2+ years’ experience in a customer service leadership position (e.g. Shift Leader Shift Supervisor, Key Holder), preferably in hospitality, coffee, or beverage
18+ years of age
Able to lift 25+ lbs, and to stand for long periods of time
Availability that meets the needs of our cafes
Full Time: 30-40 hours per week, 4-5 days per week and must be able to work 2 peak days (peak days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
Weekend and holiday availability preferred
You must be authorized to work in the U.S.: upon acceptance of a job offer and completion of the Form I-9 with acceptable documents, Blank Street will provide the federal government with employees’ Form I-9 information to confirm authorization to work in the U.S. (a process known as ”E-Verify”)
