Responsibilities
Own financial strategy and planning — lead the company’s forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes to ensure alignment with company goals and growth targets
Build an FP&A function — develop scalable models, dashboards, and reporting to guide business decisions across revenue, margin, and expense performance
Provide strategic business partnership — collaborate closely with department heads (e.g., Sales, Product, Operations, Customer Success) to translate financial insights into actionable strategies
Oversee accounting operations — manage general ledger, payroll, tax, invoicing, and reconciliations while ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls
Develop and refine financial systems — identify and implement tools and processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and visibility (e.g., ERP, expense management, analytics tools)
Deliver timely and accurate reporting — prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, analyses, and board materials
Own cash flow management — forecast, track, and optimize cash receipts and disbursements to support business growth and operational needs
Lead audits and tax filings — ensure compliance with all applicable accounting and tax regulations; serve as primary liaison with external auditors and advisors
Drive data-informed decision-making — analyze key metrics, unit economics, and business performance to inform pricing, investments, and resource allocation
Build and mentor the finance team — hire, develop, and lead a high-performing team capable of supporting a scaling, data-driven organization
Bachelors Degree
8+ years of experience in strategic finance ideally within a growth-stage or late-stage startup (eCommerce, SaaS, or marketplace experience preferred)
