Instructure Director, Assessment Content at Instructure leading teams designing and researching assessment products. Own delivery of assessment roadmap and manage global teams and budgets.

Responsibilities

Lead the Assessment Content team and Assessment Research team fostering collaboration
Own delivery of the assessment roadmap including planning, staffing, timelines, and quality
Partner with Product Management to shape the roadmap through content expertise and market insights
Manage a million-dollar-plus operating budget and allocate work across US teams, offshore teams, and vendors
Oversee content rights including licensing and international distribution in partnership with Legal and Procurement
Find practical ways to use AI in content design, editing, and review
Hire, coach, and grow leaders and build a team to take on new kinds of work

Advanced degree (Master's or Doctorate) in education, educational measurement, psychometrics, instructional design, or related field preferred
12+ years of experience in assessment content development, assessment research, or product development within the education industry
7+ years of people leadership experience including leading managers and teams
Deep assessment expertise including test construction, blueprints, item specifications, accessibility compliance, and psychometric concepts
